1. Service Agreement

1.1 Services Provided

Peakline Roofing & Exteriors provides:

• Roof installation, repair, and replacement
• Emergency roofing services
• Roof inspections and assessments
• Siding installation and repair
• Eavestrough/gutter installation and maintenance
• Soffit and fascia services
• Insurance claim assistance

1.2 Service Areas

We provide services in Calgary, Airdrie, Cochrane, Okotoks, Chestermere, and surrounding areas within Alberta. Service availability may vary by location and season.

2. Estimates and Pricing

3. Payment Terms

3.1 Payment Schedule

• Deposit may be required for materials on large projects
• Progress payments may be required for projects exceeding $10,000
• Final payment due upon completion of work
• Insurance deductibles due upon completion when applicable

3.2 Accepted Payment Methods

We accept:

• Cash
• Cheque
• E-transfer
• Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard)
• Financing (subject to approval)
• Direct insurance billing (where applicable)

3.3 Late Payments

Accounts not paid within 30 days of invoice date may be subject to interest charges of 2% per month (24% annually). We reserve the right to pursue collection for unpaid accounts.

4. Warranties and Guarantees

4.2 Manufacturer Warranties

Material warranties are provided by manufacturers and vary by product. We will provide all applicable manufacturer warranty documentation upon project completion.

4.3 Warranty Limitations

Warranties do not cover:

• Damage from acts of God, extreme weather, or natural disasters
• Damage from customer negligence or failure to maintain
• Unauthorized modifications or repairs
• Normal wear and tear
• Pre-existing conditions not addressed in the original scope

5. Customer Responsibilities

As our customer, you agree to:

• Provide safe and reasonable access to work areas
• Remove or protect personal property that may be affected
• Ensure pets are secured during work
• Obtain any required permits (unless we agree to obtain them)
• Make timely payments according to agreed terms
• Notify us promptly of any concerns or issues
• Maintain the roof/exteriors after work is completed

6. Safety and Liability

6.1 Insurance

Peakline Roofing & Exteriors maintains comprehensive liability insurance and WCB coverage. Proof of insurance is available upon request.

6.2 Site Safety

For safety reasons, customers and unauthorized persons must stay clear of work areas. We are not responsible for injuries to persons who enter restricted work zones.

6.3 Property Protection

We take reasonable precautions to protect your property. However, some activities (like roof replacement) may cause minor cosmetic issues to landscaping or driveways. We will discuss potential impacts before work begins.

8. Dispute Resolution

We strive for 100% customer satisfaction. If disputes arise:

1. First, contact us directly to discuss the issue
2. We will inspect and assess the concern within 48 hours
3. If needed, we may involve a third-party inspector
4. Unresolved disputes will be handled through mediation
5. Legal proceedings, if necessary, will occur in Calgary, Alberta

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Peakline Roofing & Exteriors' liability for any claim related to our services shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits or business interruption
• Damage from events beyond our reasonable control
• Pre-existing defects or conditions

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Alberta.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes become effective immediately upon posting to our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified Terms.

12. Additional Important Terms

12.1 Permits and Compliance

All work will be performed in compliance with applicable building codes and regulations. Permit costs, when required, are additional unless specifically included in the estimate.

12.2 Photography Rights

We may photograph our work for portfolio and marketing purposes. We will not identify your specific property without permission.

12.3 Environmental Responsibility

We dispose of all materials in accordance with environmental regulations. Recycling is utilized whenever possible.
